Anyone tried Auro 3D so far

My AVR is pretty old. But the Marantz AVR's and probably their Denon Kin from the SR 7011 onwards, apparently have the functionality to decode both dolby as well as dts formats in Auro 3D mode. It's called as Auromatic apparently. Though the speaker configuration for Dolby atmos and Auro 3D are vastly different. Auro apparently works better than atmos for both movies and surround music even via the atmos speaker configuration. Just curious if anyone has tried Auro 3D so far. Especially for music. The main draw will be for Blu-rays of live concerts.

Additionally with both apple and amazon investing is what they call "Spatial audio", just curious if this will be similar to Auro 3D. Thanks

Auro 3D as a standard is dead. There were barely any films that actually supported auro 3d. Dolby Atmos won.

I have Auro 3D on my AVR SR 8015, not better than Dolby, Dialogues seem slightly pronounced. Its a bit different Presentation that's all.
Stereo music is still better with stereo integrated or stereo mode on AVR.

Auro 3D is not worth investing further.
