Hi friends, please share your experiences: Are the sound quality and the depth same on Angel records , Odeon ? If so , in which frequencies?
Thank you,
Sunder

Are all the Angel records pressings of the old Hindi film songs in Mono? Thanks.

It's a fact actually. Usually Angel label record sound better compared to Odeon ones.

I have done side of side comparison of Angel LP and Odeon LP of Prem Pujari / Aradhana / Mera Naam Joker.

And well although the findings are based on listening only but Angel ones always sound better. Maybe because of mastering or them being first to be stamped. There is difference in SQ because of worn stampers too. But yes they usually sound good.

I have an Angel LP of Mera Naam Joker which is electronically processed stereo.

Thank you frend2001, you have observed well. On the Angel itself, did you hear more organic analog sound on Angel 7" ? than the
Angel 12" Electronically processed LP record? And , how about the 'Colour Labelled' HMV? Thanks.

Maybe because of mastering or them being first to be stamped. There is difference in SQ because of worn stampers too. But yes they usually sound good.

If we see the grooves under magnifier, the Angel grooves are bold and the groove edges are smoothly curved. The mfp version and the Enchanting Hours version record grooves are ridiculously thin , narrowed,. So that the grooves easily could get damaged.

All first pressed records, whether it is Angel or Odeon are much better than their reissue ones. First pressed records sound better even after rough use. You may have noticed that online sellers demand higher price for first pressed records.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
