How is an Atmos setup (5.12) in a tipical indian living room with walkway and sofa setties and one side dining area. Does we feel the height effect or should i go with a 5.1 setup

Almost most of us have the set-up in living room and very few here have the liberty of dedicated HT space.. You can only do so much in a living room..

I have a pair of heights in my living room and just fine.. Infact, looking to add 2nd pair of heights, when i upgrade my AVR..

Defnetly height speakers.. With native Atmos / Dts X tracks and just one pair of heights in my room it is good with a nice overhead feel.. Even with standard 5/7.1 content and using Neural X / DSU upmixer, heights are really nice..

Thanks for encouraging me. But how we do the accoustic treatment (minimal)

I have made fabric cladded aluminium frames filled with rockwool and hung them on side walls. Made a HUGE difference.
Bass can be dissipated almost anywhere, not just in corners. Of course if you can use corners, it's even better but not an absolute necessity.
