there has to be a cap at the input of the amp to take care of these issues. even the dac output might have some dc which could get amplified and reach the speakers.

Does most of poweramps have input capacitor within?
My rotel has one cap before amplification-

most of the commercial ones do. easy test - disconnect speakers, connect a 1.5v battery to the input and measure dc at output with dmm.

Looks like the rotel one is a 4.7uf 50v cap, did you open and see what sort of cap that is?

According to the sign,it should be polarized electrolyte cap.
Yamaha AVR manual manual says-

May it be with Rotel too.

He he maybe, but if its electrolytic its better to keep this out of signal loop
