Have not heard either one so can not venture an opinion unfortunately.
I had the Musical Fidelity V DAC II, I liked it when I had it. Musical Fidelity has proven pedigree, their products generally do not disappoint.
Having said that I will urge you to go with a Chord Mojo 2, by far the best DAC in the sub 50K category in my opinion. Extremely difficult if not impossible to better this tiny device, a feat of digital engineering.
