I went to Pune;
Made an appointment & went to the Taj Hotel - Pune.
The Audio Lounge has a dedicated 2 channel Hi Fi Show Room there.
Spent a few hours.
It was a great experience.
It was not so see and listen to so much hi fi well set up & sounding so nice.
The Company has spent a lot of money & equipment in excess of 3.5 cr was on display.
Not to mention - great people - very courteous & welcoming.
We spent 2 + hours there.
I urge all Pune resident's to visit.
The Show Room is well appointed & sounds good to my ears.

p.s. I have lots of pics - how do I post them ??

YG Sonja 2.2 was the speakers.
Electronics were from Nagra [Most]
Also heard the Boulder 1060 Power Amp
SME TT with Clear Audio Cartridge.
The Phono / Pre / Power etc were all Nagra.
The Cables were all Siltech.
Massive room.
Super install.
I liked the sound a lot.
We were 8 persons.
Many FM's were present too.
Maybe they can pen a few fords.
Our MOD was with us too.....[please do post pics - I am not able to] Thanks,
BHAGWAN

Speakers were placed wide, sounding marvelous, Tonality was superb.

Started with few LPs- Dave Brubeck -time out,Isaac Albeniz-Asturias, then followed by CDs of various genres..

It was stunning setup for me, dont know about others.

Somehow horns(2nd speaker) did not appeal to me, sound was somewhat confusing...may be placement issue...not sure but not at all enjoyable.

all in all, a day well spent with friends from Mumbai

It was a pleasure to visit DI in Pune.
He was a super host.
Most forthcoming.
We had a nice time @ his house.
Saturday was Audio Lounge & Lunch etc.
We did get along well & spent the day together.
It was a great trip to Pune.
I had a nice time - The Audio Louge was indeed set up well - Sonja 2.2
were 14 feet apart - no hole in the middle - applaud !

Thanks for sharing pictures of the visit! Looks like a great space!
I was in Pune last Friday with time to kill - would have loved to visit if I knew.

Nice to see what look like Avantgarde Uno speakers ... must visit them to hear those.

Regards

If you want to listen to AG - call & inform.
They are not set up to an optimum location & therefore do not play up to their potential.
The YG is their primary focus & hence that has been tuned for the room.
That said, the 300B from Nagra & the AG will play very well, if positioned correctly.
The contact details are on their web site.
I wonder if all Pune FM's have visited & what was their opinion on the room & the set up &
the 3.5 CR of gear on display...I would love to know.
Please do comment. Thanks,
Boulder 1060

Siltech Pre Amp - Saga.

Thanks bhagwan! Nagra 300B with the AG would be something to look forward to!

Yes I should schedule a visit on my next visit to Pune.
FM @Fiftyfifty had mentioned to me about the Audio Lounge and Taj Hotels tie up.

Speaking of which - is there an Audio Lounge at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai?

Regards

Tie up ?
This is news to my ears...
I am not aware.
Audio Lounge is in Bangalore & Pune.
Chennai has closed.
Mumbai is yet to open.
Not sure if Mumbai is on the cards - since Pune is so close.
ND may be an attractive market for Audio Lounge.....

@ Madhu 1199 you heard the AG with the Nagra SS AMP.
How was it ? Can you pen a few words...Please...
My exp with the 300B was not so nice.
This speaker needs to be 'correctly' positioned in the room.
The YG plays much better...only because it is in a 'better location' !

Might have been something I heard in passing ... will have to check.
Sad to hear that Chennai has closed.

Yes, that's what the Audio lounge people in Pune told me sometime ago .... that they intend opening showrooms at Taj hotels in various cities, like in Pune and now Bangalore. I wish them luck - good products, good people, fair prices. Dunno if the arrangement with Taj is loose or formal though.

Cheers!

Good to know the price information. Would also be very interested in the listening impressions.
Did you guys just do a casual visit or did you have time for some critical listening?

I am very interested in visiting for a chance to listen to the AG speakers.

100 % critical listening.

But, I plan to go again.

This time with 4 LP's & same CD's

1 from each genre & do a 'serious' comparison of the different formats.

ECM
STS
Stockfish
Mobile Fad

Will take LP & CD & do a hard core listen.

The AG as of now - incorrect set up.
The position is not right.

The YG is well set up.
100 % in favour of Western Classical - Opera & Symphonic sound.
The speakers are super wide @ 14 feet.
Stage depth is limited.
Super tone.
Bass is 'lean'
All said, this is a very serious listening room, one of the better ones in
the country I have heard.
Only the one in DC [New Delhi] Def Col is better made than this.

All must go to Pune & listen. I liked a lot.

Work is serious & well executed.
Kudos to cadence.

p.s. My Canasya Amps are now @ 9 + Lacs [a bit too much] !

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
