I am looking for some study material to educate myself on certain topics of our interest here. I understand the significance of disussion forums but tend to go conventional way by reading the school text books style! Please guide me to sources for information on these. It may be online reading, PDF downloads, paperback titles available in stores ...

1. Audio basics

2. Music styles

3. Mastering, recording - history, present, and future (viz LP, CD, SACD, BR ... and things like XRCD, DSD, DXD)

Will add more to list if and when I feel the need ...
