Could you please recommend the good sound system for swift dzire 2012 model.
I have just booked for the car now.Planning to buy a audio system befor getting the card. Could you please recommend for the areas have to be considered in order to get new quality audio system.

Budget 1st pal. Additionally I haven't heard of any good installers in Calicut, availability of products et all.. Your best bet is to head to Cochin and get it done.

I can get it from Dubai. My range is 10k to 15 k

A decent head unit itself will cost you around that quoted budget. Is that budget only for the head unit or its inclusive of speakers ?

I got a Swift last year and I would suggest to go for the Nippon head unit offered by the dealer if you are not looking for anything fancy and do city driving mostly. This is 2-din and fits perfectly into the socket and comes with the warranty. This goes well with the JBL speakers. If I recall correctly it cost me 20+.

A good Kenwood HU costs around Rs.8K. In Chennai, PHD speakers (Italy) are available via PowerZone. Their entry level component speakers (around Rs.7.5K) are much better than several brands triple its price. I have heard them in 3 cars so far. Have to say that they are darn impressive. You need to invest on a decent 2 channel amp at least to get the best out of them. But, you can drive through HU itself to get good results as they are very sensitive speakers.
