Above report from the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest. That first Verity Audio system costs USD $1.1 million or about Rs. 7.3 cr. and this is direct conversion, perhaps will cost close to 10 cr. if available in India (I don't believe Verity has an Indian distributor). And according to the report this is not the only system that carries a $ 1 mil. price tag. Wow!
Cheers,
Sid

I think as buyers of high end decrease and it becomes more niche, this is expected.

Crazy ! Maybe there is a market at such prices.

I never knew verity audio sells electronics. The last time I checked, they were a speaker specialist. I have listened to their Parsifal speakers once. Really nice sounding speaker.

The top end of the audio industry (from a price perspective) was always like this and hence it doesn't surprise me. As an example Wilson audio started selling their stereo speakers at $600K + a long time back. These items might not generate a lot of sales (in qty) but they surely exist to cater to a particular segment of the market who generally buy these items for values other than audio. So these items don't really project any trend in the audio industry. The high-end audio market in the US is well established and there are products in every price range that buyers can afford.
Thanks.
