I'll be getting my Swift dzire vdi shortly. I am planning to upgrade the factory audio. If i allocate 25K for this, what would be the right way to spend it?. I mostly listen only to Hindi and Tamil movie songs. I give great importance to mids (vocal), a little recessed highs and decent mid bass.

Hello matbhuvi, 25K is a decent budget. As most ICE guys have it, you can upgrade to a decent Pioneer / Kenwood Head Unit ~7k
Component Speakers in front from Morel Maximo / Focal Access/ Infinty Ref ~ 6k
Coaxials in the Back of the same brand ~ 3k
4 Channel Amp from Auditor / Infinty Ref / Kenwood ~ 8k
Wiring and Install ~ 3K

Total = 27K

However if you can increase your budget to `30k, you can also get a decent Subwoofer with enclosure like JBL S12 / Boston 12

Thank you Berryred. Is it possible to get the smooth dashboard look with after market components in Swift?

I fear you cant, any aftermarket HU cannot compete with OEM HU on integeration part with Dash. However they are miles ahead in sound Quality and Details.

If you want to retain your stock HU, just change your front and rear speakers to better ones, i am sure you ll enjoy that

My old dzire oem headunit had two preouts for connecting amplifier to default headunit itself, may not be the best sq choice but you can maintain the oem look.

I thought it is worth to bump the thread as i have further question on the update.

I have a "JVC KD-S100 Bongiovi CD Receiver ". Is this receiver is a worthy upgrade of the default player in Swift. If not, i am planning to gift this to one of my relative.

Finally ..decided on the components after overshooting my budget by many times.

It is ..

1. HAT Unity component speaker
2. Celestra FA475X amp
3. Energy ES300D sub
4. JVC KDS-100 HU

Install will be in PowerZone in the first week of Jan

:)

WoW dude, looks kick a$$. Where do you get HAT and Celestra here ? They are one of the few brands which stand out in the crowd. Excellent choice i should say.

Looking at your equipments, guess the budget would have hit the Big one. Am i right ?

There is a new startup company called BeeSound. They are the dealers for HAT and Celestra. Comp + Amp put a hole of 47K. ES300D is a used one picked for 4.5K. HU was bought for $130.

Why not go CASAKA or WITSON OEM TYPE system with gps ,touch screen ,rear sensors ,many more ....

That is one of my plan to upgrade to a double din touchscreen HU. But, i want to take one step at a time. There are many single din HUs with great SQ and very nice preouts. I need to study a bit to understand the same on double din.
