Hi Folks,

My 1st post on hifivison. Its overwhelming to see so many passionate audiophiles !!!!

Greeting to all of you !!!

Am a complete noob taking a plunge into Audiophile world.
So far only limited myself to personal listening using ( PX-100 , Porta Pro , ath-m50 , cx-100 ....)

Now want to make it sound a bit louder :-D

I have shortlisted the below :

Active Speakers:

Samson Studio GT
AudioEngine A2+
M-Audio AV40
Boston Acoustics XS-2.1

Amp + Spkr Combo :

Norge2030 + DNMSCS-808
Norge1515 + Cambridge S30
Pace2045 + NorgeNano
DNM499 + Norge MD-75

Intended use is primarily for music & movies.
hall size is 22ft x 14 ft.

Also, any suggestion where can I audition these in Bangalore ???

I recently bought a pair of Presonus E8 monitors. Pretty happy with them - found them to be much better than the passive speaker + amp options at that price point

Never tried them with movies
Cost 39k incl tax from Reynolds
You can listen to them at my place if you want.
 
I would suggest a Topping T20 amp paired with S30.

But this is more of a smallish room/bedroom setup. I doubt about filling your hall with music as it quite big for S30.

BTW what do you mean by "audiophile"?

By audiophile , I am looking for crisp & clarity in audio then loudness....
 
Another popular combo seems to be :

Norge 2060 + Wharfedale Diamond 9.1

Any body know where I can get these in Bangalore ?
 
Distributor and dealer details can be found from maker websites. Though I think Norge don't have dealers but they will send to Bangalore

Below is the latest quote I got from Mr. Bajaj :

Norge2030 + Norge Nano = 6500 + 9000 = 15500
Norge 2060 + New Millenium MK II = 9990 + 15000 = 24990

Looks like prices have gone up :rolleyes:

Vector folks not picking up the call... will try again.

Any other suggestions , most welcome

Took audition of Wharfdale 10.1 with a Denon amp at Vector.... sounded just awesome, extremely balanced and crisp output.
Infact better than B&W I heared after .

However, looks like Vector don't deal with Norge any more bcas they say 2060 develops frequent servicing is a major issue.

Not sure if this is true though.
