Hi Friends,

I have Videocon d2h HD installed and Connected to my Yamaha RX-V467 AVR via HDMI and AVR connected to my Samsung Via HDMI, but when i watch the HD channels i dont see the Dobly Digital Icon on my AVR.

Can you guys please assit me, if there is any Setting which i need to change.

I think for this STB requires some software update, meanwhile you can either use a digital coaxial or optical cable get DD audio.

So i will have to change my connections , STB to AVR Coaxial or OPtiocal and STB to TV HDMI.

STB to AVR via optical (audio) + HDMI (video)
AVR to TV via HDMI (audio/video)

also, ensure you have enabled 5.1 on the STB. All HD channels do not carry 5.1 audio, only few of them do. AVR will show dolby digital only if the channel is encoded with 5.1.

I think you should also check if there are at all any channels on d2H that output 5.1. Or else it will be a waste of effort over the setup. In my Dish connection only Movies Now "sometimes" give 5.1 in its true sense. rest all like Nat Geo, Nat Wild, provide pseudo mix
