Avr showing DIRECT instead of DTS

Yesterday I did audessy setup of my avr denon 1713 but after the setup was done it starts showing DIRECT in the display instead of DTS which used to come earlier I have not changed any other setting of avr as well XBMC
can anyone help me with this

I might have a similar issue.

My AVR shows DD Digital when i play HD channels on my Tata sky. But when I tune it to my desktop, it shows PCM when I am playing a DTS video..I would assume this time as well it should display DD Digital or DTS instead of PCM.

Have you put output and pass through device in XBMC to denon avr wasapi or directsound

I think under Audio settings, you need to enable DTS capable receiver.... Else it will show PCM..

I guess DIRECT is a mode in Denon AVR... May be if you toggle with DIRECT button on the AVR, it will swap to other listening modes...

You will have a button called as movie. Hold the button down and keep, there you will get a setting on the display. Use your navigation up and down buttons to switch between the modes. Just tried this since even marantz nr1504 has a similar remote as the avr 1713

Not on your volume icon... If you are using XBMC/Kodi, you need to get in to XBMC settings, Audio Settings & then enable it.....

changed audio settings and now AVR displays DTS.
