Hi - a few photos of the Baazigar vinyl test pressing popped up in my Facebook feed (via a friend). These are not my pictures - but I thought forum members would be interested to know that Baazigar is almost ready for release.

Some more info that I have gleaned - this should be available in Jan 2017 and the next title due for release might be Akele Hum Akele Tum. Note on the label that is is marketed by Suraine Records. I think they have released a turntable for sale in India.

We should wait for the Baazigar vinyl to come. The original mastering of Baazigar was not good. That was the time the transition from analogue to digital mastering was happening. Most digital masterings of that period was tinny sounding. I had the original Baazigar made in UK cd. Even that sounds bad

Are you talking about Melody edition (blue)?
I think it's far better than Indian edition (white).

Indian (Venus) has more mid/highs and slightly on brighter side. Melody one sounds balanced and more natural like it was released on its first audio cassette release (which also had blue cover).

Yes prepress. The Melody edition. Even that sounds tinny to my ears. IIRC, all early Venus and Weston titles were on Melody and Tips titles were on Sirroco

Yes, but that's the best Baazigar recording we have.

Some Tips were on Melody too, e.g. Khuda Gawah

Agreed:)

I hope it doesn't turn out like the Aashiqui lps

I think Khuda Gawah was with Time Music for international and Tips for India. But I may be mistaken

Melody had the rights for International... It was released as combo on Melody.

Krishna Avtaar / Khuda Gawah (MCD 158)

They also included "Tu Mujhe Kubool" in Film Hits on Aadmi (S-Series/Melody) MCD-261
starring: Mithun

Has anyone heard this lp? The video clip seems to have a speed issue. Also how is the quality?
