Kindly confirm me, if you guyz are interested for the AV Members Meet on 17thMay 2009 @ the Knightsbridge Apartment, Whitefield...
The meet will have the following in Showcase :
1). Q Acoustics - Home Theatre
2). Systemline - Automation
3). Q.A.V. - Home Theatre
4). Alphason - AV Furniture
5). ABB - Lightings
6). Abstract AVR - LED Lightings
7). Milty Care
8). Goldring Headphones
9). iLuv - iPod Docks
10). Alphason - Cables (Same company of QED)
11). Mutant - Car Audio
12). iO - Bluetooth Car Device (if available)
13). Anaconda - Cables by Sreekanth (Yet to confirm)
14). Pre-Amp - by Sreekanth (Yet to Confirm)
15). Speakers - by Sreekanth (Yet to Confirm)
16). RCA Connectors - by Sreekanth (Yet to Confirm)
and a few more...

I will prefer if there are atleast 10-12 members to be minimum, as then only it will look like a Meetup...

And apart from the same, all those who are interested in having a training co**** on Saturday, 16th May 2009, should inform me as well, as for that we require minimum 5 members, and according to the number of members only, the charge will be discussed...

So, i request you all to kindly confirm the things by today evening, as my tour program will be adjusted accordingly...

I am in Mridul will get two of my frnds as well. Cant seem to understand y the big guns in this forum from blr are not taking interest in this. Their participation wud help the meeting immensely.


Guys join in try and make this a success. Let this be the first step towards bigger and better things in future

@mridulgoel - Sorry if I missed something, but what training co**** are you referring to.
 
I am game as long as there is no commercial interest involved. However if it is going to be an advertising or promo opportunity for a company then I will opt out even if it means not listening to some audio equipment.

Atleast thats the spirit of the meetup I'm looking for.

Anyway guys whether its a promotion or not do we have anythg to loose we can meet each other see the product. We can atleast get to know each other all the guys whom we have only msgd over www.

Mridul has atleast taken the initiative to arrange everythg so we just have to go there and participate.
 
I think it is ok to have some commercial stuff thrown in. The guys selling this stuff also need to survive.
If they don't close a deal right then and there, they should at least be able to influence your mind :)
Mridul, may be same thing for delhi/ ncr would be helpful.
Are you guys planning to contribute some money?
 
Then how about everyone chips in 500 rupees, hire Two maruti omnis, to transport their equipment to the meeting place? M sure a default speaker stands and audio rack will be provided.

then we can do A/B comparisions, permutations and combinations mix and match and have a whale of a time from morning to evening sunday?

What do you guys think?

@mridulgoel - Hats off dude. Going out of your way to do this, truly commendable. Wish you were in my city or I was in your city so I could make it. Hopefully sometime in the future...

Hope i am responding to all the 15 posts above...

1). Contribution - Guyz there is no charge or contribution required for the meet
on Sunday, 17th May 2009. The charge is only there, for
Saturday, 16th May 2009, that is the training program, for
which we will call the trainers from the respective companies,
and will provide the study material and all. But in minimum we
need to have some 8-10 guyz so that its not a waste calling
those guyz and obviously the expenses are taken care.
2). Commercial - Guyz this meet will have some commercial value for sure.
Value Commercial value in order that you need to buy the products
or in order to get some profit out of you guyz is not there.
The commercial value out here means the Product Branding
and the Demo of the Product, and that leads to brand
promotion, and i dont think thats kind of commercial selling.
Yes but i will never deny if someone of you would like to
pick up some material or would like to promote the stuff,
that i am sure you all will do...:p
3). Training - The training program consist of the Automation, which
includes the Audio, Video, Lighting, Security, AC & Curtain
controls. so you will be provided some technical details
the controllers, the touchscreen, the basic programming,
the connections, the integration, and others...
4). Location - Yes, its Knightsbridge Apartment, Opp. to Cosmos Mall,
Brookefields.

Guyz kindly shoot a list in the following manner, with your contact numbers,
so that i will have a defenite list of all those who actually will be coming in there...

For Sunday....

Excellent Mridul sounds good to me all to gain and nothing to lose. For saturdays If you can let us know how much each person has to contribute for saturdays event it would be nice and would be easier for ppl to make up their mind.

If I am not way off topic, do we have somebody who is certified by ISF? I have an ISF projector (EPSON TW2000) which i would like to get professionally calibrated. I do have the blu ray disc of DVE, but i am hoping that the professional calibrator would be able to do a bit more than that.. Any leads?
