Doesn't seem to be one of these already so thought I'd start one up - so people can post their set-ups and tips in one place

Mine's almost complete (just waiting for the 3D glasses to arrive)...I'm using a Duronic 100" ceiling-mounted screen for mine.

I'm planning to use the Sainsonic SSZ-200DLB DLP-link 144hz glasses on the setup, they are cheap enough to be worth a punt anyway, and 3D will not be my primary use.

So, what are other people's combinations? I'd also like to hear about experimentation with settings, calibrations etc (haven't dabbled with the more advanced stuff just yet).

Hi!
First let me begin by saying that you have made a wonderful selection going for BENQ W1070. I have been using it for the past one year and am extremely satisfied with its performance. Infact, I have won plenty of compliments from all who have seen it play. Now, coming to the settings, well, I have the projector mounted on the ceiling and get the projection on a plain white wall. My screen size is around 110 in. or so from a distance of about 8-8.5 feet. For sound I am using a Yamaha AVR/Home Theatre and the AVR also takes the input from My STB, PS4, Blu Ray player.

Finally, with regards to the 3D viewing I have Active Shutter glasses from Saisonic that costed around 3,000 a piece. They are pretty decent particularly since my 3d viewing is very limited.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
