Hi Buddies,

i have bought a Samsung LED recently and am thinking to get a 2.1 setup for it.
Max Budget 10k. :licklips:

I started looking into some multimedia speakers (PC Speakers) and am considering the below model

1. Edifier C3

Please let me know if Edifier C3 is the best option if not plz guide me in getting the best 2.1 in my budget range.

Mostly i will be watching 1080p rips in my HDD through the inbuilt media player in tv and listening to music...

Doubt: If i get a multimedia speakers do i need to connect them only through Headphone jack or are there any possibilities of connecting through digital out (Optical) ??

you can try creative or intex models at 4k max...no need to strectch up.headphone jack only..dont know if some pc speaker shave optical in..some lgitech model costing 19k has a optical in....not worth trying..if simple 2.1 pc spkr get it under 4k....

if need serious ht system...minimum a stereo amp and 2 bookshelf is needed.

best norge amp and wharfedale 9.1..very very succsefull and populer combo.
or sonodyne amp and sonodyene sunus bookshelf

both cases 20k budget

Thanx a lot for ur advice prosenjit ... :)

But my question is do bookshelves delver Precised bass without a dedicated woofer ??

Now iam thinkin to move on to Amp + Bookshelves .. Can u please guide me in getting best budget combo below 15k .. my main activites would be Music, DTH and Watching BRRIPS .. :)

yes you must try sonodyne at hyderabad.
also norge amps....about model I am not very sure.depends on speaker power.
but at this budget this is the best.
norge+wharfedale/sonodyne
sonodyne sia+wharfedale/sonodyne.

check this hifimart sale section you will get an idea of wharfedale bookshelf price.

dont worry about bass without sub problem.ask any member this combo is a true audio system than the toy pc speaker package.and you can always buy a sub later when strong in budget.so dont worry about bass.

i think sonodyne has listning rooms in hyderabad try that.

Yup .. i will definitely try to have the audition of all the combos that u have mentioned .. especially Wharfedale 9.1 + Norge 2060 :)

and i have come across this model..from Onkyo indian website...

Onkyo : HTX-22HDX

Its a Compact 2.1 HT where AV receiver/amplifier is built into subwoofer and it can be upgraded to 5.1 if needed !!

Do u Have any idea about this system ?? Hands on or Audition Experience of this ??and is it a safe bet to go for ?? its around 22k in hyderabad Onkyo Showroom !! :)

integrated amp+bookshelf is much way better than that onkyo model you mentioned.
however onkyo and denon has entry level complete home thetaer a dedicated avr and 6 speaker at around 24k to 30k........

Ok Done !! .. will go with Wharfedale diamond 9.1 and Norge 2060 Amp .. :)

Saw many positive reviews on this combo .. and am very eager to hear them !!

9.1's cost 16k in hifimart .. and 2060 cost 9.7k in technoguru.in !!

Hope i will get them cheaper outside than online !! :)

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
