Best 3G USB wireless provider? Please help.

I'm looking out for a 3G USB wireless net connection. Which according to you knowledgeable people is the best one. I'm looking for an Unlimited plan.

As far as I know, only BSNL is providing 3G connections, and that too on an experimental basis.

I have purchased BSNL Wireless 3G USB Modem (Rs 2500/-) and took a 3G connection and I must say its horrible............no 3G connection in my area...........be very sure before taking the connection as 3G is still a flop in our country.

AFAIK, everyone is providing 3G wifi sticks. There is an ad running on TV for upto 21.1 Mbps connection via usb.
I am interested in a good portable wifi adaptor with 3G card. Waiting for this, hope it is not locked to a particular network

Hi Ramki,
Currently BSNL is the best in Bangalore for 3G. They also have a special offer running where the 6 months plan is costing Rs 4200 for prepaid users. I am on the same plan. The speeds are good at nights and early mornings.During the day it is lower due to peak hour usage.

These days there are some issues with speed fluctuations.

The best speeds that i have got have been around 5.5 Mbps and the worst are between 512kbps to 1 Mbps.

In the current scenario i will recommend going for Bsnl prepaid sim.

Its just costing Rs 59, then you have to do a FRC - first time recharge for Rs 120 which gives 6 months validity. There are other FRC's also available. After that you can just do a top up of Rs 55 for talk time if required. For first 7 days the usage is free. After which you can recharge for Rs4200 and go for 6 months UL. Also u can use the same in roaming and there are no data charges.

For Modem do not buy from bsnl, u can go for any 21Mbps modem like UMG1831 and buy from ebay or other sellers i got my from a seller in coching whose service was good.
