Best Bookshelves+Amp Setup for 30K

Dear All,

This is my first post and my combined budget for BS+Amp is 30-35K.
Room size 12'x12'. 100% music. Music genre is all except death metal and country songs.

Warmth in music preferred, sound should not be bright. Large soundstage width & depth preferred. Bass should not be "too low". Fluidity in mids desirable.

PSB Alpha B1 + Nad 316BEE might just be what you need....

Might cross you budget by just a little bit. I've heard many speakers in this price range and in my personal opinion the PSB Alpha B1 is the best all-rounder speaker out there...!!

Other members will give more suggestions, Do try to audition all that you can....

Why not give topping tp20 and Usher's or JBL Control 1 a try, you ll save money and ll be a good option. Search Forum there is a long thread on that.

Hi I heard a Bang and oleufsen I Pod doc working yesterday and I think that it was real bang for buck at the UB Mall in Bangalore.Al;though it costs 85k and over your budget I think it is worth a try.

You can pair a pair of quad 11l2 with a used marantz amp( there's one on sale in our classifieds). It will give you the fluid mids you are looking for without excessive bright treble.
Else the Nad-Psb combo is a good option.

i would advice the Quad 11L2 and a warmer amp like a Denon

another one of my favorites is a KEF IQ10/30 and a Denon or even a NAD-

if you can hold of the older monitor audio
BR2 and a NAD- that would be an all time favorite too

NAD PSB is a good combination but these speakers are either loved or hated , rarely in between - so dont buy without a listen
P.S : one of my setups feature a NAD PSB (PSB image series and a 325NAD )- hence the advice

however i think all options will cost you about 40k and up so be prepared
(unless you are looking at PSB alpha B1 and a NAD 315 )
