Best way to import Galaxy Nexus(now selling at 349$) from US to India

Now Galaxy Nexus is selling at 349$ in US. Right now none of my friends or relatives are coming from US, so them carrying it here is not an option.

Hence what is the best and safest way to get it to India from US?? I am willing to pay customs and shipping charges.

Try it from shopyourworld.com. Though lot of FMs have not had good experiences with this site, but not all. Check how much is it coming landed. It's available for 25k locally with 1 yr seller warranty on eBay and with local shops as well.

Hmmmmm you are right but Galaxy Nexus is not launched in India. Here similar spec phones are galaxy s3 and htc one x whose price is almost double and also they wont get jelly bean update for a few more months. That is why i am thinking of getting a galaxy nexus as now with unlocked version selling at 349$ its best vfm phone available at present.

I have used shopyourworld as well as shopabroad.

I found shopabroad is very fast and easy in everything.
They have online calculator to calculate the final cost.

Its not Nexus, its the Nexus S which isnt launced if im not wrong. Please check.

Also this phone and S3 and One X are in a different league, atleast one generation ahead. Nexus which is on sale right now is a older version to Nexus S i believe. As far i have read, its gonna get Jellbean update first than any other devices from any other manufacturer. If you want to get pure android experience without any modifications get this. Also, keep me posted as my sights too are set on this.

Last week one of my friend bought Galaxy Nexus from Dubai for 21k. Looks like there are better offers in Dubai for Galaxy Nexus as people are flocking for S3.
From this forum I understand that ShopAbroad is better than Shopyourworld if you want it imported from US, which should cost you around 25k-26k. I would also suggest you look at ebay.in where the phone is available for 27k-28k.

Wherever you buy, get Jelly Bean running on it which is expected to solve the Android slow UI touch response system :yahoo: . BTW, Jelly Bean for Galaxy Nexus will be released in couple of weeks (I think mid July).

Nexus from Samsung is not succeeded with abbreviation "S", its call Google Nexus Prime or Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Nexus S was an old phone released in 2010.

I was lucky enough I was in Europe when the phone was launched and I bought it from there. Later I came to know it would not be released in India, shame strategy by samsung to promote its own brand S3, coz Google Nexus was gaining much more popularity than the upcoming S3 .....

21k in dubai is a good price...but have to remember in India it doesnt have any warranty.

349+shipping+taxes will be much more than 21K even if bought in US. I have been eyeing it since it was 399 dollars...my TV crashed..hence 50K spent there or else I would have had one.

My friend is coming soon from US. Let me know if any Blore folks want this phone..no promises..but no harm trying
