I have recently got JVC 700BT fitted in my car.. not happy with it... Is Pioneer 80PRS a significant improvement? Anything else that can give a cleaner sound...
Yes, Pioneer 80 PRS is a far far superior product compared to the JVC 700 BT. It is an audiophile grade product with all bells and whistles you would require in a head unit.
I too was looking for this unit for quite some time, but unfortunately it is not available in India. Finally I settled with DEH 9400.
Pioneer 80PRS is a major improvement over the others. However against JVC look for a bluetooth compatible Pioneer touch (The 900-Series) at around 20K.
Actually Brio has slot for Double Din HU. Is there a Double DIN HU which as good (or even better) as Pioneer 80PRS? I can spend upto 25K, don't need any special display but just best audio quality and fit in double din...
Today for the first time I tweaked the TA options in my HU (JVC R90BT) and I am floored by the difference it created. OMG. TA is not just another feature. Its a USP. It brings the imaging right at your forehead. I felt like I was sitting in the sweetspot even though none of the speakers were facing me and I am hardly sitting in centre. Without TA, the speakers were just throwing sound into space within the cabin but now it is clearly "directed" to me. I felt all 4 speakers "turned" towards me and started singing.
I would strongly advise to go for a HU which supports TA if budget permits.
