Bookshelf speaker within 40K to pair with NAD C372

22x11x15.... IMO look for Floorstanders.

Actually I thought of retaining my current setup (Wharf 9.5 with onkyo) for movies, as it serves me well for HT purposes... As space is a constraint inspite of buying another set of FS, thought of buying a BS... :o

If BS is not enough for the room size, then I have to replan everything....

Loud, clear and musical it should be .... in case you settle for BS. Though, FS seems more likely with your space.

In case, it is BS, you may also look at the Epos range ... M12i fits the bill.

Bro..

I am from Kerala.... Hope of auditions are very less here.. So have to go with the expert's suggestions from here... :)

Got an offer for Paradigm titan Monitor and Dali ikon2 (not mk2).. Dont know how well they sound with NAD..

If the titan monitor offer is local , you shld give it a listen. IMO, they can fill large rooms with ease.

I do not think you will be sitting 20 feet away from your AV setup right. :D

The Titans and the NAD amplifiers are a match made in heaven. Do give them a chance. Very good speakers for the money. I am using the same combination NAD C326 + Paradigm Titan. And also a NAD 315 + Atom Monitors

Absolutely - we heard ruengma's titan monitors at the pune meet. and NAD + Titan synergy was brilliant.

Its not a local deal bro... So have to flip the coin blindly.... I also got an offer for a dali ikon 2 , not the mk2 model old stock for 39K.. have anyone heard dali with NAD???

I am looking for midrange clarity, details and good stereo imaging.. Is dali better than Titan monitors for sheer musicality???

I was at Lakhozy Bombay last week and I am still dumbfounded by the PSB Imagine Mini BS. Hands down one of the best bookshelf speakers you can get your hands on. These speakers have a sound stage thats as big as some floorstanders!

Price is approx 45K but these are dynamite speakers.

@Nikhil Agreed about the soundstaging and overall detailing of the minis they punch way above their weight. However, they flatly refuse to go anywhere below 80Hz. I tested it with a test disk. Compared them with the Image B4s and the price difference of 2 times is not really justifiable since at nearfield the B4s were mighty good as well. The biggest issue with both the speakers was ability to move enough air to be comfortable at a distance. You have to consider the driver dimensions. Hence for the OPs room size I'll still stick to the Paradigm Titan/Image B6 etc larger bookshelves.

Hii,

I am currently using Wharf 9.5 mated with onkyo SR705 receiver for music as well as movie purposes.. Recently i bought a NAD C 372 integrated amp.. Its a 150W/channel amp..

C 372 Stereo Integrated Amplifier - NAD Electronics

Now searching for a BS speaker within a budget of maximum 40K purely for music to pair with it.. I usually listen regional music, some pop, some trance and some rock.. My room size is approximately length X width x height = 22 X 11 X 15 feet.. Hope a BS will suffice.. pls give some suggestions..

Thanks and regards... :)

Throw could be an issue with Book-shelfs if they are using small radius drivers.
Pls. check before you buy by installing it in your room if they are sufficient

Finally bought Dali ikon 2...

DALI Ikon 2 review from the experts at whathifi.com

I have connected it to my NAD C 372 using Chord rumour 2 cable... initial impressions are its a little bright according to my taste... but hope it settles with time as dali sounds at their best after 150-200 hours of burn-in time... Detailing and midrange clarity is awesome... Tight bass, not boomy..... Listened continuously for 2 hours.. No ear fatigue... Its anyway leap and bounds ahead of current setup for musicality...

Thanks for everyone who shared their knowledge on this thread...:) Will upload some pics soon...

Enjoy the music bro.. Please let us know how it sounds after a week or so
And please post pics..

Great to know about your purchase.
Dali is indeed high quality ...

I don't know about burn-in, but after 150-200 hours - our ears and mind definitely become accustomed to the tone signature.
