I own this iOmega screenplay director for close to 2.5 years now. It has a known bad boot time which is approx 1-2 minutes. However, apart from this I have came across another issue with this player.
A few times when the player was abruptly powered down (power cut etc), it goes to weired state.(not everytime, i can say 3 times out of 10).
What i could understand is:
1. It looks for a bootable file, which is not available.
2. Looks for image (or some key) in USB, again not available.
3. erase flash and re-write into flash (dont know from where
)
4. boot with the newly written image.
Problem: It keeps me waiting for close to 5 min each time it looks for keys into USB thrice (see the ....... in image), which contribute another 15-20 minutes to boot time
I dont remember since how long i am into this situation, and i am living with it as the this player's usage is not much. However thought to share it with the FMs, may be someone already have a fix for it.
