Boston Acoustics XS 2.1 And NR1402 AV

Hello Guys,

I am a newbie to this forum. Need advice whether the combination of Marantz NR1402 AV with BA XS 2.1 is a good option. Currently Hifi Mart is offering both items at a discount with 3 extra XS satellite speakers thrown in with BA 2.1.

Also, does adding up the 3 extra satellite speakers to NR1402 make it a 5.1 system. Sorry for the stupid questions.

I have purchased NR1402 recently from HifiMart. But not with any speakers from them.
I have purchased PSB ALPHA B1 book shelf fronts and PSB Sub125 from local market. the combination works great.
For the time being I am using centre and rear speakers from my old Z-5500 logitech system.

Yes. If you have 5 sattelite speakers and 1 subwoofer it will work, however I would suggest that do not get intimidated by price and offers only. You are going to make an investement of c.50k so it is always better to find some time and go for as many auditions as possible. Since you are in Mumbai which has most of the importers and distributors, you won't find any problem in demo. I think you should call HifiMart and ask for the demo. Can also ask for the additional discount on Reciever + speakrs combo.

Thanks friends for your inputs. Spent the summer break trying to match up amps and speakers and finally saved money by putting together a decent combination from pre-owned stuff (Marantz 30 wpc plus Paradigm atoms) under INR 12k.
