In my opinion Garrard is a legendary name for turntables.I am only happy the name still survives.

Garrard is legendary and the 301 and 401 were their masterpieces, considered to be TT royalty. However they were not the emperor. When the emperor arrived, most recording and broadcast studios replaced them. No prizes for guessing who the emperor was

Wow. I had no idea that Garrard the turntable maker was originally the same company as Garrard the jeweller.

Sadly, I never owned a product from either.
