Yes it can.

a 200 watt sub plate amps costs around 5k here in India and can be sourced from Jeetubhai or Mahindra

However if you are looking for really powerful Sub Plate amps. You have to look at ordering it from Madisound or parts-express etc

However Peerless makes some good 12" drivers and if you want to up the ante. you can look at 15" / 18" PA drivers from Ahuja and the likes.
