Hello to all

I'm in a big dilemma so as to go for indian made budget speakers or high-end imported brands?

My budget is 80K (max).

My dad is insisting me to buy whatever speakers i want with a TV within 80 K- 1 L.

I want good quality sounding speakers, slowly build my setup, with all good components.

Please suggest me options for both viewpoints.

Go by your dad's suggestion.

You can always improve on the speakers later. But your family will have a lot more fun with the TV in the meantime. If your whole family likes music and appreciates top quality sound, decision to go with expensive speakers could be worth a thought.

TV is for everybody in the family and good for any time of the day. You can buy a reasonably good pair of speakers even after buying a TV. Explore the market. Best wishes!

The speakers and/or speakers+tv will go into my bedroom, they already have a tv in their room. It's just his suggestion.

I've looked into this forum and other places on the internet and found some good reviews for Tannoy mercury v4, Boston acoustics a360 and yamaha n-555; all of which are in the 40K range. I can pair them up with some av receiver like denon or yamaha within 30-40K range.

I think i'll go for the hi-fi stereo setup for now, I don't really watch all that TV, moreover I have a small 26 inch LCD. I can use that for now if need be.

Please suggest some good speakers which are available in and around delhi for audition and sale.

I mostly listen to trance, progressive, goa and all other forms of electonica.

I'm guessing that for this kind of music, Yamaha is the way to go.

I really appreciate your feedback mates.
