Hi All,

I wish to purchase (book shelf) speakers+amplifier for under 15 to 20k. I finalised on the following based on the advise read in posts in this forum.
Source is laptop, mobile and DVD player

1. Cambridge Audio S30
2. TP30 amplifier

or

1. JBL Control one
2. TP30

But the problem is that the above speakers and amplifiers are not available anywhere(online or offline). I stay in Mumbai.

a. Can anyone guide me about their availability?
b. Or suggest alternatives in the same budget.

I just want a decent sounding system.

Thanks in advance.

Even I was looking for new speakers + amplifier combo to replace my AudioEngine A5.
For speakers I was too looking for the Cambridge Audio S30, but as you have mentioned not able to get it online or at any shops which I have visited.

Still not able to decide on the Amplifier tho, do let me know which one you end up buying..

Thanks for the suggestions. I have decided to go for JBL Control one at Bajaao.com.

For Amplifier, I have two options
1. TP30 for 10k
2. Dayton Audio DTA-100a Class-T Digital Amplifier 50 WPC for 9k

I am not sure which one to go for. Any suggestions?

Have you considered studio monitors? It should be a good option in this price range and will have the amp built-in. The good ones will also have dedicated amps for tweeter and woofer in each speaker - unlike say, Audioengine.

Plus, I would imagine that Bombay would be the mecca for studio monitors as there are so many studios there!

Or since you are in Mumbai, why don't you look at Norge amps? Will give you more horsepower than TP30 (I used to use TP20).

Hi,

I have one Norge Millenium BS Speakers for sale, less than 1.5 years old, bought for Rs.14K, if interested please PM me.
