Building a plugged- in Bluetooth speaker. (Acoustic Suspension)

Hi everyone. I am an Industrial Design student. I am beginner at building speakers from scratch. I want to build a side table with a decent audio system integrated into it. I was hoping to get a direction to go ahead here. I want to know what components I can use to build one. WHat bluetooth module should i use? I was thinking of going for a single driver system.
