I am looking for a tablet in 10-15k range. My main requirement was a 9+ inch screen with great resolution. In this range of upto 15k only Micromax Funbook Pro was available. I saw this tablet in croma and was absolute pathetic. Sluggish UI , touchscreen problems , screen not to mark and may other problems. The only tablet which comes in this bracket which i liked was Google Nexus 7 but it is 7 inch so dont want to take.

Recently I saw in ebay and also other websites like pandawill and merimobile selling tablets with awesome specs at 11-14k (way better than even nexus 7 also ). But these products are manufactured in China so I wont be getting neither any support nor any warranty here in India.

I need a suggestion should I go for these tablets or any chance micromax can bring a dual core 10.1 inch 1280*800 px tablet @15k..

Really confused

Please search for Indian online sites for availability of Teclast or Onda. These two are among the front runners among Chinese/Taiwanese origin. I have used both brands and I can say their products are acceptably reliable (keeping the price in mind). Their product descriptions are more realistic than many other Chinese manufacturers.

If no Indian online sites have them, touch luck. You may want to import from Amazon/Newegg/eBay etc.

Btw, I heard that Samsung Galaxy tablet prices have come down. Are they much above your budget? If you can get them even after a little stretch, they are worth. The difference in experience between cheap tablets and these ones is vast.

Some other contenders that I can recommend you check the availability of: Lenovo, Viewsonic. They are priced midway between premium tablets such as iPad/Galaxy and low end such as Aigo, Ainol, Cube etc.

having used (but not owned) a both 7 inch vs 10 inch tablet I can say that if you intend to do some sigificant typing then 7 inch is better. This is because of the size. The on screen keyboard can be reached with both the hands holding from left and right and effectively your two thumbs can do speedy typing. Not possible in 10 nchers.

Google Nexus 7 USP
1.3 GHz Nvidia Quad Core Preocessor with 12 core GPU
1280*800 px resolution
IPS Gorilla glass screen
Android 4.1.2 (will also get latest updates in future)

Downsides
Screen size 7 inch ( its good to hold though )
Storage is 8GB or 16GB out of which 8GB is cheap and 16GB is overpriced (can used pendrive though by rooting it)
No warranty in India currently

I am getting this at 13.5-14k . Is it worth it?
Also which dongles work with it ?
