Buying TV/AVR from Navi Mumbai

Hi All,

I am planning to buy a 32/40 LED TV and a home theater set up
I am almost finalized the AVR as yamaha-467 or 667 but yet to finalize on the TV

I am from Pune and just had a thought. I hear that VAT is not applicable in Navi Mumbai. is that true for all purchases ....? I hear that for cars and laptops....

So I think if I do a purchase of both the devices in a same store or so then may be for a 1 lac purchase I would be able to save 10k around as vat is 10% .....?

it will be easy for me to take my car from pune ....?

Do you think it is a valid/practical idea ....? please share your experiences as well good stores .....

Maybe you will save on octroi, which I think, is about 5.50% currently, since Navi Mumbai is outside Mumbai octroi limit. Don't think you can save on Vat, since this would be without bill.

I never find any differences between Mumbai and navi Mumbai prices..........Have to ensure once again
