Recently my Edifier C2 (2.1 speakers) stopped working and giving a continuous hum sound. This stopped once and worked fine for a day it started again and still there. All this started when there was power fluctuations (though this is connected to a stabilizer which has LED tv connected). Volume was within 50%
I opened to see if anything burned out, all seems OK, just there is come kind of brown glue like dried liquid between power capacitors, though the capacitors look fine from top.
I really liked the sound of this system, I want to fix this. Now question is how to check which part has gone kaput.
More details:
- It can power up and can show the volume display.
- Volume adjust work (buzz sound goes high and low).
- Buzz sound is there even there is no input fed.
