Can i connect DTH to Monitor?

Im having Dell SP2309w Monitor which has an HDMI n DVi port.
which DTH box can be connected directly to it?
Sun or Airtel or whch one?

Just for Info: DishTV used to make STBs which had VGA ports so that you can connect your monitor to STB .. I had one then later i exchanged it with HD one which has HDMI only..

Just for Info: DishTV used to make STBs which had VGA ports so that you can connect your monitor to STB .. I had one then later i exchanged it with HD one which has HDMI only..

how is dish hd service.did you feel improvement in picture quality for non hd channels also?
i have a standard dish set top box,wish to change it to hd stb.did you get any offer while exchange.

DishTV does offer an exchange discount. It used to be Rs. 400 last year. Should be much lower now as they have reduced the prices of their HD boxes by half.

You're better off paying for a tata sky HD connection since you'll get more HD channels. The improvements in SD channels in HD mode is marginal, if any. DishTV's HD service costs at least Rs. 450 per month which is exorbitant.

Yeah exchange offer was somewhere near around 400Rs.. didn't remember.. I wud also suggest you to go for TataSky.. DishTV sucks.. hyeah:

OK so this is a 3 year old thread and we have come a long way now.

Just wondering... why is everybody buying LED TVs at all. Won't an LED monitor do? Most of them, if not not all, have HDMI port and built in speakers now so can't we simply connect the HD DTH box and the monitor using HDMI? Or is it not that simple?

Anyone doing this already?

if that is so simple everyone will buy led monitor instesd of costly led tvs. it is not like that many factors are there contrast ratio,size,motion rate,3d,sound,connectivity.we can live with those monitors but cant enjoy with it.
