Can Marantz UD5005 play VCDs ?

The official spec says No. I just wanted to know if any one using UD5005 tried VCDs?

I think no. Blu ray players have killed vcd format.

Thats pretty sad . I guess Oppo-93 can play them. How about Pioneer BDP-150? They support Mpeg-1 format that is being used in VCDs.
