i am also in the process of adding a CDP. Considering the valuable inputs from forum members in this thread, it would be great if someone shed some light on DAC too.

How would SA 8005 stand in this regard ( CDP+DAC) ?

I am not hearing sa 8005 yet.. but i auditioned cambridge cxc with couple fo external dac like chord, arcam, parasound etc.
