Hi friends,
The Paradigm CC190 is a rear ported center channel speaker. ( Quoted price about Rs 13900 in Mumbai )
a. How much space would be ideal inbetween the center channel speaker and the wall ?
b. What would happen if this center channel is flush mounted to the wall ? Dont have much space to play with as far as the center channel goes..
The wall in this case happens to be a 1.25 inch thick wooden frame on which my TV hangs. ( pictures can be found in my thread on the Titan Monitors )
For rear ported front speakers one would keep about 6 to 8 inches from the wall ( if not more ) to reduce boominess.. would the same theory apply here too ?
Another question..
The spec sheet says Frequency response On axis 90Hz to 20 KHz at +/- 2 db and 90 Hz to 17 Khz at +/- 3 db. The LFE is mentioned at 54 Hz.
Does this mean that the center channel can do down to 54 Hz ? Does this also mean that in the AVR i can adjust the crossover setting to 60 Hz for the center speaker ?
Plan to take an audition soon and i thought i would like to have this input before i decide.
Have attached an image of the CC190 rear.. googled from audiocafe.co.kr.
Thanks,
mpw
