Sir,

I have KEF Q300 as front
Taga sub woofer
Pioneer vsx 933 receiver

Kindly suggest me good matching centre speaker. Budget around Rs 20,000

What exactly to look while searching for matching centre speaker to KEF Q300.

Regards

q acoustic 3090i is also good, but I think that will above 20k. Generally people buy front and center speakers from same brand to timbre match them. So, if you find some good center channel from q300 series, than that will be a good choice.

That's good too, but could be noticeably different sounding than kef. Also AJ speakers shine with lots of power. Polk are comparatively more efficient which is good for a center speaker.

Hi Shobhit.
Bit confused. I enquired about Pol CSI A6, dealer says it will not be good match.
Suggestions given are ELAC 2.0 and PSB Imagine XC

Kindly guide.

Get something that's closest to KEF sound signature.
Timbre matching is good if you can get LCR at one shot.
Since the KEF-Q is discontinued, it may be difficult or expensive.

You need this for movie tracks that have a lot of sound panning.
Most movies have only a few scenes that has this spread sound.
Otherwise, vocals are firmly rooted into the center channel.

Kindly suggest specific model please
No idea. Not been following HT speakers at all.
Dalis? Monitor Audio? Maybe

I make do with:
Combo 1: Monitor Audio Radius 45 + B&W DM LCR3
Combo 2: KEF R300 + B&W DM LCR3

Both MA and KEF are at the opposite end as compared to B&W.
But as I said, I don't give it too much attention as B&W is great for vocals/voices.

Cheers,
Raghu

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
