First, what's the budget?

For around 20K Audioengine A5 are the best. Also, my preference is for powered speakers, but not everyone thinks along these lines.

If its not powered speakers then it comes down to a stereo amp + speakers combo. For the best stereo output the analog outputs from the Asus Essence STX are really good. The Asus has a very good DAC one feels.

that is one of the best sources you can get
so you can pretty much buy ANY speaker you want man

norge has other amp which are costing 4k.

The Norge amp maybe good, but the speakers would not compete with the A5s.

how about firewire recording interface with excellent dac ,for lap top usage .most laptops have firewire ports.

eg. Edirol FA-66 6X6 at 279$
