Chennai HFV Meet - 3

Hi all,
I am opening a new thread to discuss our 3rd thread so that we can start fresh. Two things to be finalized first:

1. Probable dates
2. Agenda

I will talk to Venkat on the place for this. If anyone has any suggestion, thats also welcome

Dates:
July 24, 25 and 30,31 and long shot Aug 15th?

Agenda:
Video based products?

Good to see next HFV meet has started to kick off after a long break..Can join except long shot 15th August since planned to have an trip outside india.

Sunday is the best bet so I'm confirming 25th.

1st Aug was also convenient but was not proposed by Ram.

I am open to all dates.

Regarding location, my club is available of course as long as the hall is free. Capt. was also suggesting an alternate location last time.

I would like to bring my brand new HTPC that has a Blu-Ray drive. I would also like to work with a few members to set up a full 5.1 with AVR, speakers, projector, et all.

Let us have a blast. No audition nothing. What say?

I have some suggestions for the agenda.

1. Auditioning of LM 3886 based Power Amp of Linuxguru.
2. Auditioning of Integrated Amp from Craftel.
3. Comparing Live instrument like guitar or tabla with that of recorded music.

Now for the bonus part. One of my friends has sent me 'Cardas Interconnects' to be reviewed. The cables have already been auditioned in Bangalore and Chennai review is due.

The best part is, they need not be returned. He has suggested that we draw lots where a lucky participant (amongst those participated in Bangalore and Chennai) would be the proud winner of the cable.
