Hi Friends, i am a novice here and need some help.

I have a denon 1905 AVR, connected to 2 tower speakers, 1 center speaker, 1 sub woofer and 2 sorround speakers. I have "PRO FX" speakers and they are made by PRO FX.

A friend is giving away a "CX A6 6" channel amplifier (http://www.cloud.co.uk/products/detail.php?id=16), can i use my pre outs and connect my Denon AVR to the cloud power amp and power my speakers? Also, if anyone can advise as to what type of speaker connectors the CXA6 amp has? Havent seen this type before.

Thanks in advance.

Speaker connectors - 2-way Pheonix Connector. You may get it from here itself
https://www.jpleisure.co.uk/item33081.htm

You need unbalanced to balanced converters for connecting this amp with AVR's pre outs. (There are cheap and expensive ways).

Regarding quality improvement - it's hard to say without listening. But my feeling is it would be better than AVR.

The trouble with RCA to XLR is the AV receivers preamp output is usually not enough,. As promised amplifiers need 1.4 volts input, and most receiver's have.775. you don't get the full output of the power amplifier. You can check if the power amplifier has selectable switch for lower voltage input.
