I think this is worth a read...some of us may use Amazon Basics etc...

Dozens of Amazon's own products have been reported as dangerous -- melting, exploding or even bursting into flames. Many are still on the market

Have no idea about that but my experience with Amazon has always been great & they are very professional in their dealings. Their delivery service is remarkable. Sometimes there may be issues which is common in any kind of business but most of the times they sort it out.
I have never used their Amazon basics wires/cables so cannot comment on the quality.
