I found the comment educative.
Here’s a word I wasn’t aware of, ‘Melomane’. Although, I'm unsure of the accuracy of the description.

Excerpt from the comment:

Actually you may want to consider yourself a Melomane ... a French idiom for one who loves music and is willing to spend a fair amount of money to hear it as clearly and accurately as possible without getting overly obsessed by the equipment involved .

Whereas an Audiophile is one totally obsessed by the equipment , placing the music a distant second and the never ending search for the ' perfect sound willing to go into massive debt in order to acquire while never being satisfied and never really enjoying the music itself
