Connecting LSR305 to Xonar DG sound card.

I bought a JBL LSR 305 and is confused about the best way to connect it with my soundcard. I have a 3.5mm speaker cable with me. So will a simple 6.35 to 3.5 mm adaptor be enough or do i need to get a 1/8 to 1/4 cable?
I would also like your opinion on whether i should get a DAC to remove any hissing problem.

There must be a 3.5 to 6.3 pair wire to connect. People have reported hissing & noise problems through this route.

I bought these 3.5mm to 6.3mm cable from amazon - https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B01MCY843J/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . Sadly they are not working. I tried connecting to motherboard audio, mobile and soundcard. But no sound from the speaker.
