I recently misplaced the original charger for my dell xps 13. A replacement costs about Rs.2000, while a third party usb-pd charger retails for between 1000 and 1500 on Amazon.
Being a cheapskate, a bit of googling led to https://robu.in/product/pd65w-fast-charging-adapter-module-standard-board/.
So I shoe horned it into an old 65W laptop PS, which I had lying around.
It's an incredibly tight fit inside the laptop PS, so I replaced two 470uF/25V caps at the output with smaller 220uF/25V caps to make space for the usb-pd board. Else it's a straight forward job,. Just make sure caps in the laptop PS are discharged before you poke around.
End result below
