Coursera course on Audio Engineering

I had a look at the web site.
Note that while it isn't mentioned on the pages we see, it is a PAID course. It isn't free.
You will see buried somewhere at the end, that if you opt out etc. they will not refund anything. That would mean you would have paid on registration !

There is enough FREE information and tutorials and video's on the Net where you can learn all these things. Use Google freely and you will find everything !
Loudspeaker experts from the industry have explanatory video's on Youtube.
The Net is often a FREE goldmine ! ;)
USE IT !! :) ...........FREE Gold ...anyone ?......:D

It's free. If you need a certificate at the end of the course, that will cost you $29.

I enrolled 2 weeks ago but could not devote time to it.

I don't think you'd be able to design a loudspeaker at the end of it. You may be able to design enclosures though.

I already like a few nuggets.

For example, why a enclosure is required for low frequencies ?

So at 20Hz the wavelenght is many meters, so that the positive and negative waves cancel themselves out. The speaker outside the box sounds as if there are no low frequencies.

Not sure then how something like magneplanar works then. Though I have never heard one.
