I am hoping that the opposite should be true. If not, then the audiophile world should just say no to such offerings!Wondering the remastering these days involve a lot of DSP to make the track sound like brand new recording ???
If people want to hear the original record as close as possible, I think that, assuming they have it, they should digitise themselves. Say, I have an LP and a CD of the same album, and I find the LP preferable: whether it is strictly legal or not, I refuse to pay the record company a third time for the same music! Even one of our turntable enthusiasts was telling me recently how good the digitisation results are. He does put much more time and effort into the process than I do, but still I am satisfied.
(well, not entirely: I think that I really need a better phono-pre-amp, but then, there's always something like that affecting us lot! :lol
