Friends,

Getting deal on Denon 1611 and Polk Audio RM6750 for 52K from ProfX. One HDMI cable worth 6K is free. I had asked for 47K for the above combo. Any idea what's the price across Profx in other cities?

Guys, any idea ?:confused::confused:

Why not try onkyo 508 with SKS728 package ? or 1611 with Paradigm cinema 70.
Thanks. But I am looking out for 5.1. Auditioned Warfdale MS70+ also but found speakers to be bulky though sounded very good. Was asking for 29K (With Bill, war etc).

Found Polk RM6750 to be good and compact too but can't compare with MS70+. Are both RM6750 & MS70+ very old ? If yes, will there will be issue for service/support ?

Speaker technology has'nt changed much over the last 20 years. So, no issues on the service angle with any. The guy looking after the repairs has to be seasoned, thats all.

BTW, MS 70+ is far too superior to Polk 6750. It is excellent for music and also good for movies. It is on the brighter side and not laid back as the Wharf BSs.

I was quoted the same. He said he could bring it down to around 50k. See, if you can get a denon headphone instead of an hdmi cable worth 6k. I mean wat kind of hdmi cable is worth 6ks? A 10 mt long cable?
I had auditioned the Polks, but found my Onkyo speakers slightly better, maybe because of the sub... The sub is a bit weak on the polks, but overall, I liked them. But yes, I believe the Wharfs are way better than the Polks. I didnt buy the Wharfs, due to unavailability at that time.

The free HDMI cable is of the brand "The Chord Company" (an UK company).
MRP mentioned on the packaging is Rs 6500/- and is cheaper than its selling price in UK in pounds.

I too liked MS70+ over Polk 6750. However, they were not compact enough to be wall mounted.

More inputs/feedback from friends appreciated as I need to decide before 'Dhanteras' i.e. 3rd Nov.

you can get rm705/rm6750 both of them for 22k (without bargaining, without discount) from Bass n Treble Delhi.

Denon 1611 should be another 28-30k, so what you are getting is no bargain but the regular price for regular stuff.

I have posted the pics of my MS 70+ ... wall mounted.

BTW, I was a noob when got down to buying the speakers around 8-9 months ago. Now, as far as satellites go, am NO MORE a noob. So, if you are looking for an 'informed' suggestion, here it is ....

I shan't call this a risk, but an extremely efficient and VFM combination from ALL perspectives. I have been giving it a serious thought, but due to no-use at my end am not implementing the same.

Why don't you guys try this combo .......

Front left and right speakers ... JBL Control 1 ... price @ 6.5 k/pair
Rear left and right speakers .... JBL Control 1 .... price @ 6.5 k /pair
Centre speaker ... 3 way JBL again .... price @ 10-12 k
Select a rip roaring subwoofer later (if you don't have budget now) from ... HSU / Velodyne / SVS .. check price, should be @ 40 k.

The above can and WILL fill any room @ upto 300 sq ft. without stressing the AVR by much.

Am very impressed with the JBL Control 1 speakers. Using it currently with a Topping TP20.

Why dont u try 1311, instead of 1611. They are almost the same, except for the audessey settings (not there in 1311). There is a difference of about 5 ks, plus the free denon headphones...

The fellow from Profx told that audio chip is 24 bit in 1611 and better in sound reproduction than 1311 which does not have 24 bit. Also audessey makes the life easier.

Agree with Kittu. Energy Take classic is really great. I had auditioned them recently and you wouldn't believe that such great sound comes from speakers of such small build.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
