Denon 2310 or Onkyo 707

Need some expert inputs... am thinking of a denon 2310 Vs an onkyo 707
to power up my bose AM 10 .

I haven't demoed but specs wise IMO i'll choose Denon 2310 , price is also less.

I created spec comparision sheet ( specs that affect my buying decision ) which I have attached here. Hope that helps. Details are gethered from here and there so may not be accurate and price may vary.

hello all,

i took a demo with profx took my gladiator original DVD, couple of instrumental cds the impact was good... i viewed the scene where the gladiator fights the emperor men .. later reveals that he is maximus ! ..

what should be the final number for the 2310 .. 62k or a discount is possible ?

34k through borderlinx + import without warranty from USA + 3-4k for nice stab+transformer

hey guys, i'm new to this forum. I'm planning to set up my HT. Looking at the Denon AVR 1910 and 2310. Pls do tel me which one is better. Got to make a quick decesion... and also, does any one know any dealers of PHASE TECH Speakers in chennai or bangalore?

2310 is powerfull with little better spcifications.
1910 is budget winner & cheaper too.

better than both wud be to pick up the 2309 Denon from spidey , whos just put it up for sale .This amp has more power and is way cheaper than the models mentioned

I have put xxx price and they accepted my offer. That is going cheap. I just have to figure out now who can carry it for me from USA. It is the lowest price I have ever seen for Denon 2310.:yahoo::clapping::yahoo:

This model doesnt have preouts.Price can be around 22k I guess.

yes, guess is almost correct. What is the need of pre-outs? The amp power is sufficient and I am not thinking to add stereo amp.

Then its OK.Most of us may not req preouts,for adding extra amp it may be needed.
7.1 ana in are present which is good opt & not present in Onk models currently.

Apart from voltage issues, I guess you are aware that receivers bought from the US have their radio tuners limited to tune into odd frequencies only ie. FM starts at 87.5Mhz and increments by 0.2Mhz, even if you try tuning manually. So if you are from Chennai for eg. and want to tune into Chennai live 104.8Mhz, you can't, with a US sourced receiver. Does this bother anyone?

yes, that's the cause of worry, but in Bangalore I have only 94.3 FM option for me, so no problem. well, do you mean to say that in chennai you can't catch 104.8 FM signal on 104.7 or 104.9?

nope, you can't. Chennai live signal as such is quite weak and from where I live (outskirts) there's way too much disturbance if you try either side of 104.8Mhz, really not worth it. So I had to get a friend to get the Sony HD tuner XDR-F1HD from the US. However sound clarity is not as good as the in-built tuner.
