Denon 2310 or Onkyo 707

In my opinion no point spending so much for the denon just to drive the AM-10.I myself own an AM-10 and have tried driving it with amplifiers from all possible brands and have got the best results only from a Yamaha receiver.So just buy an entry level Yamaha receiver and U will be happy.

Small doubt - Onkyo models are THX certified whereas denon are not - how big difference does it make for THX certified movie watching?

it depends on what your take is , If you dont know how to check receivers it is always better to know that the set is having thx certification which indicates minimum quality.

With repect to Thx there are some modes which are very good ...

Also onkyo generally gives more features compared to denon in mid range segment. Dont go for onkyo in entry level.

But in india denon is preferred since it is sold by a/v dealers here in bulk hence the impression.

There is no much difference in either of them only people who are dedicated audiophiles may know the preference and here also the verdict is mixed..

Each one has his own take on this.
