Hi All

I have a DENON X1000 purchased from India itself. Official purchase. with Bill and warranty. Since all my HET is set up today I thought to connect my stereo setup using the ZONE 2 option on the AVR and MUCH TO MY SURPRISE, I did not find the option.

I looked in to DENON official x1000 manual provided to me and again to my surprise I did not see Zone 2 there as well. Where in if I download the x1000 manual form the website it shows zone2, infact if I Google x1000 images all of them shows zone two.....

DENON x1000 listed on Amazon.in also shows zone 2 .. Atleast on the picture they have there .....

WTH is this ..... do we have two different x1000 models for India and US ????? Please anyone having the same issue, which x1000 do you have please share .... I am seriously disappointed ....

If you check out the Denon asia website you will see that the X1000 doesn't have Zone 2 out in the photo. However Amazon.com does show a slightly different version. I haven't checked out Amazon.in yet. Seems Denon has a scaled down version for Asia.

THis is absolutely BS ...man ..... damm ... Zone 2 was imp to me and one of the reason for purchasing x1000 was zone 2 ..... damm DENON ...

The woes does not end here ..........There is one less HDMI input as well..... I have 4 at the back and one at the front, where as the "other" model has 5 at the back .... :(

We are on same boat dude :-) denon partiality to 3rd world countries. Many electronic companies do this, we pay more in India compared to USA and we get treated step motherly

damm man if I had know I would have sourced my AVR from US ..... screw you DENON. My next AVR will not be yours for sure ....

Its not just Denon.
Years ago, I bought a Yamaha RX-V650. It had exactly the same issue. Zone 2 only in US, Canada and OZ models. In this case the manual I had downloaded did specify that clearly.
I did not need the feature so it was fine for me.

Well my previous AVR was Onkyo (with zone 2) and it had every feature it advertized ...... Guess I will have to be back to Onkyo then in my next AVR purchase, or be just more diligent and check before I buy .....

Its not so easy, step motherly treatment is evident in all brands, auto updates won't work as seamless, Indian websites of these brands don't list firmware updates frequently, as in USA, etc I can go on and on.... :-) most brands do this
